It’s time to use my stash yarn again.

This time, I thought about making a two stripe pyramid clutch.

After completing the clutch, I decided to make this into an educational crochet along project.

Material:

Yarn: 2 different colors with the same weight.

One dark and one light.

Light yarn was used about 27 ft (≈8.23m)

Dark yarn was used about 29 ft (≈8.84m)

Hook: #E (3.5mm)

Because we are making a clutch, tighter stitches are necessary.  Therefore, I choose smaller size hook

as the yarn label recommended.

For example, because I chose 2 medium weight worsted yarns.  Usually the recommended crochet hook

sizes from the label are between H(5mm) to K(6.5mm).  However, I used size E (3.5mm) hook for

this project.

Zipper: 5 inches

Darning needle

Stitch markers

A pair of scissors

Techniques will be learned from this project:

  • How to make knit stitches, also called waistcoat stitches.

  • How to make invisible join at the end of each round.

  • How to carry the yarn.

  • How to make jogless join with color change.

  • How to make a tidy finish.

  • How to attach the zipper onto the clutch.
