Ideally, I should use the same weigh yarn or thread to knit or crochet any project.  However, when I only

have limited choice, I need to be creative.

I found this beautiful design online at https://www.pinterest.com/pin/71565081577182806/.

Unfortunately I did not have appropriate threads to make it.  In addition, I did not have the same

colors choice as the original picture.  So I decided to work with what I have and be creative.

It’s all coming down to stitches tension and how to hide the carry over threads.

I chose to crochet with knit stitches because I like the effect on this piece comparing with the

regular single crochet stitches.

Another challenge I faced was how to manage so many color threads at one time.  Haha.  As you

can imagine and picture my frustration.  Especially when the moment I found my irreversible

mistakes after several pattern repeats and had to rip stitches off.  I could just thinking of one

Chinese slang, 腦細胞死了好幾百個 (In English, it means hundreds of my brain cells died.)

Because I did not have the same thread thickness for all threads, at the end, it became quite wavy.

Therefore, I decided to make a stitch adjustment to reduce the waviness.  In addition, block the

piece after completing it.
